Agro Nocciole was established in the hills of the Alessandrino Monferrato in April 2019 as the first investment by Idea Agro, the Italian private equity fund of Dea Capital Alternative Funds sgr, with equity invested for €5.2 million and bank financing for an additional €5 million.
The project planned the creation of a hazelnut grove of about 300 hectares, through the acquisition of contiguous plots to obtain large-scale mergers.
Currently, the company is divided into eight functional lots and is the largest of its kind in the province of Alessandria, an area particularly suitable for quality hazelnut production.
The mission of Agro Nocciole is to obtain high-quality hazelnuts by enhancing the hillside environment, restoring the original organic fertility of the soil and preserving natural resources. The cultivation of hazelnuts is indeed carried out according to the canons of organic farming, eliminating the use of chemical inputs, using eco-sustainable agronomic techniques such as green manure and predicting efficient use of water thanks to the most modern 4.0 farming technologies.
Ettore Fieramosca played the role of advisor to the project and currently provides managerial consulting and supervision of the business progress.
