AGRO NOCI

170 hectares of walnut groves in Santa Bianca di Bondeno (Ferrara)

The investment was made, in the province of Ferrara, through the establishment of a newco, 100% controlled by Idea Agro, the Italian private equity fund of Dea Capital Alternative Funds sgr, on a project managed by Areté, an economic studies company specializing in agribusiness.
The equity investment was €5.1 million, in addition to a €5 million bank loan.
The project saw the creation of 170 hectares of walnut grove, 70% of which of the Chandler variety and the remaining 30% of the Lara variety. The first fruits are expected in 2023. The intention is to produce a high-quality Italian walnut, where sustainability is demonstrable through water saving, energy saving and minimal use of agrochemicals.
The initiative is part of the “Noci di Romagna” supply chain project, promoted by New Factor: in fact, in June 2020, Agro Noci became part of the Agrintesa cooperative, thus constituting a productive hub of over 350 hectares, making it one of the main national players in the sector.

Ettore Fieramosca played the role of advisor to the project and currently provides managerial consulting and supervision of the business progress.
