The project, realized in partnership with an industry operator, involves the purchase of land and the establishment of a farming company, Atena, to manage operational activities. The equity investment was €5.6 million, in addition to a bank loan of €7.25 million.
The lands are located in an area on the border between Lazio and Tuscany and are fully irrigated.
A production of over 400 tons of oil is planned: the facility would become one of the most important in central Italy, in one of the areas of excellence for the production of extra virgin olive oil.
The management activity is entrusted to the Buccelletti Family, a minority partner, owner of a nursery company specializing in the production of olive trees and ornamental shrubs. This is one of the leading companies in the sector, holding 20% of the national market for olive cuttings and plants.
Ettore Fieramosca played the role of advisor to the project and currently provides managerial consulting and supervision of the business progress.
